Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Research Associate with expertise in Life Sciences and Pharmaceuticals to join our Gurugram office. The ideal candidate should have over 2 years of experience in the Intellectual Property (IP) industry, particularly in life sciences technologies such as biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, chemistry, and related domains. The candidate will play a key role in conducting patentability searches, prior art searches, patent landscape analysis, and patent invalidation
studies within the life sciences sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct prior art searches, patentability searches, and invalidation studies related to life sciences technologies.
- Perform patent landscape analysis and portfolio analysis in areas such as biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, chemistry, and related life science domains.
- Analyze scientific literature, patents, and technical documents to identify relevant prior art.
- Prepare detailed technical reports, claim charts, and research summaries for clients.
- Support clients in patent litigation, infringement analysis, and patent portfolio strategy.
- Stay updated on latest advancements in life sciences technologies, patent trends, and global IP regulations.
- Collaborate with internal research teams, legal professionals, and clients to deliver high-quality IP research solutions.
Required Qualifications:
- 2+ years of relevant experience in the IP industry, preferably in life sciences-related patent research projects.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, or other relevant Life Science disciplines.
- Experience in prior art searches, patentability searches, landscape analysis, or patent invalidation studies.
- Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to prepare clear technical reports.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
