Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Research Associate with expertise in patent invalidations to join our Gurugram office. The ideal candidate should have over 2 years of experience in the Intellectual Property (IP) industry, focusing on Standard Essential Patents (SEPs). You will play a key role in managing SEP projects, conducting in-depth research, analyzing patent portfolios, and performing patent invalidations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and execute SEP-related projects, with a focus on patent invalidation analysis.
- Conduct comprehensive prior art searches, essentiality analysis, and invalidation studies on SEPs across various technology domains.
- Analyze patent landscapes, perform essentiality checks, and provide detailed reports to clients.
- Support clients in patent litigation, licensing negotiations, and infringement analysis, with a focus on invalidating patents where applicable.
- Stay updated on global SEP trends, patent law changes, and evolving technical standards.
- Collaborate with internal and external teams, including legal, technical, and market research professionals, to deliver high-quality client solutions.
Required Qualifications:
- 2+ years of relevant experience in the IP industry with a focus on SEP projects and patent invalidations.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (Electronics & Communication)
- Experience in conducting prior art searches and invalidation studies.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to provide clear and actionable reports.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver results within deadlines.
